What's with the Name?
One of the best questions we get asked!
"What does your name mean??"
Well we're glad you asked!
Forty-Third and First - isn't just a random set of numbers formed around an intersection like format. The name was truly inspired by the Lord.
Backstory - As God was forming this, dream, we'll call it at that time - something so far off - only dreaming of having a brand, the ability, and capabilities to put this all together, I simply asked the Lord, what would it be called.
I wanted some edgy, fiery, Holy Spirit fire type, Kingdom come - something that pushed the line. I didn't want the common Christian apparel line. I wanted something that went straight to the Bible - and preached the word.
I had names that "I" wanted it to be because, well - it was a dream at that time.
As I pondered and drove to work - And in that time, The Holy Spirit put the Verse of John 1:1 came to my mind.
"But God?" How would I turn that verse into a business name. And why that verse?
How often in the Bible do we see the phrase "But God" and see something ABSOLUTELY magnificent occur. Well - BUT GOD - started to inspire me about it and I pondered as I continued to drive into work that morning.
So - after some time - I thought how the book of John was numbered in the Bible. Oh, Forty-Third book. Ok, and Verse one. Forty-Third and First.
But it doesn't stop there - the verse is a place where we truly understand and revealed the deity of Christ. He was not simply a man, He is God. John 1:1 is a place in which we encounter Jesus, and learn who He truly is.
Take a minute and just read, John 1:1-17. And just marvel at the God of the universe being revealed to mankind - coming to bring a salvation only He could.
And while I was excited to get the name concept built - that day - only the Bible App (and I had not seen this nor do I believe in coincidence) - The verse of the day was John 1:1. Take it for what you want ; )
The Eternal Word
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not [a]comprehend it.
